Well, as you already know, Fall is my absolute favorite season of the year. From football to fashion, nothing tops Fall shopping in my book, or my bank account, for that matter.
The second I see one leaf on the ground I am practically throwing dolla bills around trying to score the latest Autumn-inspired styles.
Aside from my sick obsession with game day gear, one of my favorite Fall purchases is most definitely shoes.
Fall shoe trends are always on point, and I am a total sucker for a good boot/ie.
Needless to say, I have already begun swiping my credit card left and right hunting down some of this season’s hottest styles, which is why I want to share some of the shoes my sister and I snagged during our recent Steve Madden haul.
Steve Madden is one of our favorite brands, which is why we’ve gone a little crazy lately. But, hey, it’s all for the love of Fall fashion. Right?
Well, at least that’s what we tell ourselves (and our rapidly diminishing funds).
But, that’s beside the point.
Anyways, here’s a sneak peak of some of our newest shoe babies!
The Sock Boot
Talk about the “It” boot of the season. These chic skintight ankle boots are popping up everywhere this Fall. From velvet to leather, the sock boot has taken both runway and street style by storm, which is why I knew right away I had to snag a pair (or ten) of my own.

Personally, I think the best feature of this particular style is that the velvet/microsuede shaft of the bootie isn’t too tight and restricting like other materials tend to be, which is great if you’re going to be strutting your stuff in them all day long.
+ Street Inspo:
Dress ’em up, dress ’em down, these booties look great when paired with a cropped pant, over skinny jeans, or with a leggy mini.
I mean, you really can’t go wrong with this classy new staple.
The Slip-On Sneaker
While this trend was really popular in the Spring/Summer months, it is still killin’ the game this Fall as well.
The slip-on sneaker is definitely one of my favorite trends because, like the sock boot, not only can you can pair it with so many different styles, but they are some of the most comfortable and stylish everyday shoes you’ll find these days.

Slip-on “sneaks” are ideal compliments for everything from athleisure wear to a high fashion blouse/skirt combo, to a trench coat and jeans, which makes them the ideal shoe for just about anyone.
+ Street Inspo:
Since snagging a pair of my own, I’ve worn them every single day. Just saying’…
My advice: jump on the bandwagon and grab yourself a pair. Trust me, you’ll be hooked on their versatility.
The 70’s Inspired Platform
Oh, the 70s. What a time to be alive, or, well, wish I was alive, that is.
Like the saying goes, what’s old is new again, and, true story, I am obsessed with 1970s fashion. I love that the groovy trends of this iconic decade are coming back into style so I can finally live out my Dazed and Confused fantasies on a daily basis.
If you haven’t seen that movie then I just…I don’t know.
Alright, alright, alright. Let’s get back on track…
It seems like every big brand is falling in line with the platform trend, and I am loving it. There’s nothing a shorty like me enjoys more than a good, sturdy heel, and these babies have just that and more.
These chunky lace-ups are so comfortable you don’t even realize the sole of your foot is elevated an extra 2″ from the ground. Major bonus.
+ Street Inspo:
Throw these puppies under your favorite pair of bells for some extra height, use them to spice up a classic jumper, or add some over-the-knee socks into the mix and you’re ready to rock this Fall look like it’s 1977.
The Thigh-High Boot
Fall weather is the ultimate boot weather, and thank goodness, because it’s boots on boots on boots that you’re seeing in every storefront this season.
While the classic ankle and mid-calf boot are always a hit, it’s the thigh-high trend that had everyone ready for boot season well before the summer heat had even burned off.
Yep, the thigh-high is still going strong.

These bad boys are my sister’s new obsession, and, really, who could blame her? The thigh-high boot is super chic, sexy, and pairs well with so many different outfit combinations.
+ Street Inspo:
Not only are thigh-highs truly boots that are made for walkin’ (they’re like seriously comfortable), but they also look great over denim, leggings, or bare skin. Score.
Well, there you have it, guys n’ gals. These are some of the hottest shoe trends in Fall fashion this year, and I can not wait to wear them all out and about.
Until next time,
